They are just round flashers that are attached to the fuse block, the wires lead from turn signal to flashers to blinkers

All I want to know is **WHERE is THE FLASHER UNIT LOCATED ON MY 2001 FORD FOCUS**

John, your best bet here would be to take the vehicle to a service outlet. There are only a couple of reasons for the relay to be hammering over that quickly and none of them are good.

Having said that, your flasher unit SHOULD be up under the kick panel below the steering wheel. It shouldn't take long to find it with it hammering over as quickly as you say.

Did a flasher fuse hazzards work still no directionals

If 10A FUSE 24 in the fuse block is OK, power is getting to the hazard switch to turn on the flasher unit and send its output through the turn signal switch to the front turn lights and rear combination lights. If the replacement flasher unit is not defective, the turn signal switch could be defective or there could be a problem with the lights although it's unlikely.

Flasher location relay

On a 1993 olds ciera, the flasher unit for the T/S is clipped to the ashtray mount bracket. Remove the ashtray and the flasher will be on the passenger side of the bracket. The emergency flasher unit is located to the right of the glove box when facing the box. It is hidden behind the Multi -fuction alarm module.

How to change flasher unit 0n 2002 Saturn L-series

WARNING The flasher unit for turn signals should not be switched with a flasher unit for the hazard lights. To check the filaments of all of the turn signal bulbs and the brake lights, turn on the hazard flashers and walk around the car.
A flasher can be located in the fuse panel, under the dash in the wiring loom, in a glove box, under the hood, or somewhere else.
f36-02.jpg A fuse panel. Most flashers are located under the dashboard on the driver's side. When working properly, a flasher is easy to locate because it makes a ticking sound. When it is not functioning, a service manual may be needed to help locate it. Lighting company catalogs generally have pages listing the location of flashers.
To replace a flasher:
  • A flasher features two or three prongs that plug into a socket.
  • Just pull the flasher out of the socket and replace it with a new one.
