Your going to have to bring it to in to get the A/C serviced. If you have A/C at first and then it goes away but comes back later, you may have a bad orifice tube (Expansion valve) or moisture in the system and it's icing up causing the pressure to build to a dangerous level so the pressure switch kills the system. The other thing to is that you had A/C and now you don't, you have a small leak in the system which is common and you may just need the A/C recharged. Call around who can recharge for you which is safer then the recharge kit you can by a wal mart. They can monitor the high and low pressure readings and vacuum out any moisture in the system. Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted be glad to answer any questions you may have. Oh and check the fuse and relay to your A/C compressor.

You have a problem wit the air temperature control blend or the blend door actuator motor, most times both are defective. The parts are located deep in the dash and as such the dash assembly must be removed to service the parts.

My 2005 Tacoma's ac light blinks and there is a sqealing sound when I run the ac. Any ideas?

Sounds like the AC compressor is out. If you are handy and want to fix it yourself, you will save anywhere from $1200-2200. The compressor is sold on an online auction site for just under $400 - far less than the $700 from the dealer. I am having the same issue and will be attempting the fix shortly. Good luck! Also, the service manual is also online showing how to do it.

5 speed trans 96 tacoma jumping out of gear 1st through 4th gears when you let off the gas

Hi there,

This commonly occurs when either the Shift Linkage is faulty (or simiply needs adjustment), Shifter Fork is loose, or there is excessive movement of the Input Shaft.

Adjusting the shift linkage would be your first task. If this doesn't correct the problem, then you will need to investigate the other 2 components as suggested above.

Cheers,

96 TOYOTA TACOMA 2.7 ...HAVE REPALCED THERMOSTAT 3 DIFFERNT TIMES CHECKED HOSES KEEPS KICKING CODE INSUFICENET COOLANT TEMPETURE LOWER LOOP... WATER PUMP DOESN'T LEAK OR MAKE NOISE BUT COOLANT DOESN'T...

If it weren't for you saying lower hose is cool, it would be a bad coolant temperature sensor. But it sounds like you have at least a very big air pocket in engine or the impeller on waterpump isn't turning.

I had the same problem with my car for a while, it could possibly be that your alternator is going out, or your battery connection is bad. those would bethe first things I would check

E-brake is stuck on 96 toyota tacoma

the rear brake pivots maybe seized. look at the back of the brake drums see where the brake cable meets the brakes, there is a leaver there that is suppost to pivot if it is seized. you will need to remove the drums unbolt the e-brake leaver and take it apart to clean the rust out. you maybe able to unseize it by spraying wd-40 into it and working it, but you will need to take it apart to prevent it happening again.
