Question about 1992 Audi V8
If you are referring to the security code for the radio when it is showing SAFE on the display - you can get this code for free from the dealer.
You need the VIN (chassis) serial of your car which you can get from the registration document or service book or on a label inside the windscreen itself and you must also remove the radio unit to get another serial no. from the back of the actual radio unit itself.
Once you have these two serials take them to the dealer who will provide you with the code. Some Audi dealers will attempt to charge you for this but they are not allowed to do this. The original card that comes with the car clearly states that in the event that the owner loses the radio code Audi will provide this information free of charge.
So remember to refer to this if they are insisting on a charge.
There is no other way to crack the code for this radio unit.
