Question about 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier
Changed the clutch?? now is this an american cavalier ?? or a british vauxhall cavalier?? well the problem seems the same but the vehicle build is totally different.Without the offending vehicle in friont of me its difficult to get my ameba brain cell working ,but if the clutch was changed then the battery was disconnected and this could be the problem because in 1994 the opel astra went from being a normel key to a chipped key ,astra was europes equivilent of the cavalier and i have one thats how i know about the chipped key so assuming its a GM product then no doubt the ECU would be the same in all production regardless of where ?? .Now with the battery being disconnected this could cause it to have the immobiliser cut in ,it shouldnt but it can .Now you will read a current to the coil and the sensor but it will have the earth interupted so it will never start .put the old computer back on and try the spare key ?? if it still will not start then i think a breakdown truck to dealers to have it the key reprogrammed
