SOURCE: where is the body control module located on a 1997 town & country

It is located on the back side of the underdash fuse box (junction block). You remove the lower steering column cover and knee blocker reinforcement. Then remove two plugs from the bottom of the BCM.
Remove the bolts holding the junction block to dash panel mounting bracket. Remove the junction block from the bracket. Remove screws holding the BCM to the junction block. Slide the BCM downward to disengage guide studs on jb from channels on BCM mounting bracket

2000 Ford F250 what does the GCM/BCM do and where is it located?

Body Control Module:

The body control module in a 2000 Ford F-250 can be found under the dash on the driver's side. You will be able to spot it because it has several wire harnesses that plug into the black box that is connected there. The body control module is the computer that controls all of the things for Your truck's body. This includes things such as the window motors, the door locks, and even the alarm system for the truck.

Is there a fuse for remote entry system on a 2000 taurus

There are fuse's for the module that controls the keyless entry . If fuse's were the problem you would have a lot more problems then just keyless entry . Have you tried replacing the battery in the key fob. There are also relay's , door unlock an door lock relays , located in the central junction box . Under the dash some place . There are controlled by the GEM - genaric electronic module . Ford's BCM - body control module .

My 1998 ford taurus wagon misfires when I step on the gas at 30mph and about- occassionally the service engine soon light blinks

clean the MAF sensor heated wires inside MAF with carb cleaner gently with a toothbush first. Then disconnect battery for 1 hour and reconnect and drive for 10 miles so computer can relearn clean MAF sensor.

Mass Air Flow (MAF) Sensor The mass air flow sensor (MAF sensor) (12B579) :
  • is located between the engine air cleaner (ACL) (9600) and the throttle body (9E926) .
  • uses a hot wire sensing element to measure the amount of air entering the engine. Air passing over the hot wire causes it to cool.
  • sends an analog voltage signal to the powertrain control module (PCM) (12A650) to determine the intake air mass. The powertrain control module will then calculate the required fuel injector pulse width in order to provide the desired air/fuel ratio.
The mass air flow sensor hot wire sensing element and housing are calibrated as a unit and must be serviced as a complete assembly.

Heater Control Valve 2000 Taurus SE

Taurus doesn't have what is called a heater control valve, are you reffering to the remote climate control module, the one that the vacuum lines hook to? If so it is behind the glove box. Just open the glove box and press the 2 clips on the sides so it opens all the way up and it will be located right behind this.
