Question about 2001 Saab 9-3

1 Answer

1999 9.3 air blows hot

The air was working, but somewhat erratic when first started. Mechanic checked & topped with freon. Worked for a few weeks, then no cold air!
It's 90+ in Atlanta! I'm afraid it may be more than just freon!

Have you checked the compressor charge? If it's okay on freon, check the A/C Clutch relay-if this goes out you'll have problems with your air as well. I know how you feel, it's 100+ in Sacramento.

Ac blows hot air

I have had a similar problem quite a few years ago. You don't mention the model or year of your vehicle. It could be a relay that is on the firewall just below or behind the firewall in engine compartment in front of driver's side of the car. It took a really savvy MB mechanic an hour to locate and fix after 2 months in other shops, including an MB dealership. Mine was a 1988 560SEL that had that problem. After that was fixed, it worked perfectly for another 5 years - at which time I sold the car.
I hope this helps...

I have a 99 grand marquis the a/c still blows could but it only blows hot air how do I fix this problem

If the blower works but no cold air, a mechanic would check to see if the system is low on freon, then check for voltage at the low pressure switch and the ac clutch as needed.

1999 Ford F150 AC fully charged with freon is blowing hot air

there are few things you need to check out:
1. if the compressor is overcharged it will shut down and you won't get any cool air
2. the thermostat for your cooling system is bad
3. the link to adjust the temperature is too short (did you feel the switch loose when changing temperature from hot to cold)?
hope this helps.

A/C blows hot on 1999 Chevy Cavalier

That could be the case. The other problem could be that you are losing freon for some reason. Find someone who can check the freon level for you to make sure that it is not leaking. The valve to fill the freon can get bent which allows for the gas to escape and then you run into this problem.

1996 LX - Condenser Fan Blows Fuse

Make sure your are using the right amp fuse, if so you will need have the fan relay checked by a mechanic. The porblem would be in the wiring of the car since there is not much to a air conditioning system in a civic. As for the air not being cold you may have a leak in the plumbing of the air system that needs to be fixed because freon is very expinsive.
