How do I remove black plastic pice that is behind the stirring week when changing the barrel

behind the piece of glass there is a black plastic that the glass sticks to if you push it to one side stick your fingers behind it and pull you will disconnect the glass retainer from the mirror motors bracket do this on both sides of the mirror and make sure you don't lose the little barrel shaped arms that snap the glass retainer into the window motor housing where glove for broken glass splinters sometimes it's best to put those barrel arms in then press the glass in but I would say it's better to try to fit the arms in while attached to the glass it depends how big your hands/fingers are for the space allowed to get it in GOOD LUCK STEPHEN

Those are commonly known for leaking from the intake manifold gaskets, which will require you to remove complete intake off and replace.

the big black plastic box on the right side of the truck under the hood is the place where the evaporator is located. evacuate the a/c system,disconnect the hoses going to the black box,then remove the evap housing(the black box) from the firewall. be careful when separating the box because the plastic is brittle and it cracks and breaks easily. once apart the evaporator can be removed.

you will have to split the ignition barrel, using either a hammer and small thin chisel or an old screw driver, if you split both side opposite the barrel will fall out, it will in some cases leave the barrel stalk in the black box (the electrical black plastic box at the other side of the barrel housing) to remove this turn with a screwdriver to either position 1 or position 2, at the front of the barrel housing is a release pin hole which will need a small allen key or pot rivet pushing into it to release the barrel stalk, remove with pliars or with flat blade screw drive, place key in new barrell hold thumb over secure pin holding it into the new barrel, then gently turn key 90 degrees, and offer into barrel housing, ensure the secure pin is at all time still into the barrel, slide the barrel into houseing slowly until you mate up the barrel stalk to the black box, and slide in until you hear the secure pin click into place, turn key back to zere and remove slowly, the new barrel is fitted. should take about an hour from start to finish, if it was not seized no more than 15 min to complete. hope this helps.

The Cabin air filter is located behind the glove box, There is a plastic cover that must be removed to change the filter, if the filter has never been changed a plastic bracket may have to be removed also.

It depends if you want to change the key barrel or the tumblers, to remove the tumbler set put key in the switch, remove the beauty ring it just snaps on then stick a paper clip into the hole where you removed the ring or on the bottom of the barrel turn the key in reverse past accessories and pull tumbler set out. if you need to remove the barrel you will have unhook the battery then take horn cover off, pull the protective plastic tabs off the rear of the steering wheel and remove the safety tork screws and remove the air bag disconnect the air bag plug. next remove the three screws holding the horn ground ring and the plastic piece that separates it from ground put them in order next remove the center bolt using a steering wheel puller pull steering wheel next compress the plastic cover with the U shaped steering wheel clap and push the plastic dust cover down 1/4 inch next remove the center c cer-clip slide the clip off of the steering wheel shaft remove the dust cover remove the copper tangs on the right side of shaft and you will see a #6 tork screw remove that one screw and the barrel will come out, on some models it's the only way to get the barrel out. Hiya...the cabin air filter is located below the front passenger/windshield area.
It's only accessible by standing outside the Equinox with the hood open.
Here's how to do it...(before you pop open the hood)

1) Stand outside at the front-right door area.
2) Just below the front windshield area, pull up a few small black plastic clips that's on the black windshield wiper cowl area- a small flat screwdriver or a special clip-remover tool is handy.
3) Raise the hood up.
4) There may be a triangular-shaped hard foam sound damper at the left side nearby the hood hinge...pull it off if it allow you to work around it with ease.
5) Continue to find a few black plastic clips around the black windshield wiper cowl area.
6) Gently pull up the black windshield wiper cowl cover with care not to bend it too hard during removal.
7) You should see the cabin air filter inside that's held in place by a black rectangular box inside.
8) There's 2 black tabs that holds the cabin air filter in place.
9) Insert your finger or tool to pry the cabin air filter away from the tabs.
10) Remove old cabin air filter.

Remember to reinstall the clip parts back into place when you're finished.

Yeah, def sounds like a lock cyl problem. On many cars, you rotate the key to the 'On' position, and there is a certain pin that you can press in with an awl or small screwdriver, and it allows the lock cylinder to be pulled out. This is typical of GM vehicles, Volvo may be similar. The pin might be somewhere behind that plastic plug you were talking about. Good Luck!

unscrew 2 screws in black plastic handle, remove black plastic but do not unplug if electric windows look in lower rear corner remover one screw there and one screw behind the black plastic handle and if hand crank windows pull not to hard and separate window crank and find a phillips or torx screw in the but have window down and gentle get fingers on lower sind of door panel and slide upwards towards the sky and it shoud come off
