My front electric windows doesn't work! but my sunroof works fine? any cant help me on this??

If both windows went at the same time it could be your comfort relay, i think the sunroof is on a different relay, taking it that you have checked the fuses, I paid £17 for the genuine bmw comfort relay and it fixed my window problem

How do I operate electric rear windows only with front switch at driver if rear switch is broken on a bmw 316 1992 model


You should be able to operate window from main front switch regardless if rear switch is bad. If it does not work from rear door or front door, it is probably not the switch, but the window motor which do go quite often. Take switch and verify it is working by testing with volt meter, next, check to see if you have 12VDC at switch, could be a broken wire, another common problem with older cars.

Bmw 316i over heated check water fine not leaking oil fine?


often caused by faulty thermostat which comes in a plastic case, the little lugs can break off (and often do) if thermostat cant open cooling water cant circulate

Actuator about to go out, cost about 600 dollars, have done it a least once on all windows and twice on the back ones,very common problem and happens a lot on BMWs.

check fuse for sunroof also check the switch itself and the connection the motor that operates the sunroof could be bad
