Vacuum lines are on the engine for several different reasons. Power Brake boosters are connected to the engine by a vacuum hose, other vacuum lines go to the emission system and other engine controls.

You can spray those hoses/line with regular carb cleaner with the engine running, and if there is a leak, you will notice the engine changes RPM's when you spray near the leak. Only do this in an open area and in short burst. The "cleaner" is FLAMMBLE, so test one area and then let it air out before moving to the next area.

Reading the OBDII engine codes may help you pinpoint the leak by saying it's small, large, or, from a specific component.

The gas cap not being tightened properly, or with debris on the seal can trigger an engine light also, check that as well.

SOURCE: Service engine soon lights on (Nissan Quest 2007)

This is most likely the O2 Sensor however, that light may also come on for a vacum leak or anyone of a number of other sensors. Take the vehicle to Auto Zone and ask them to use a code reader on it and tell you what the code is for. If the code is for O2 sensor as I suspect the part will cost about $40 and take maybe 20 minutes to replace your self. ($40 for part + 5 to 10 for the special socket) If it shows anything else you may want to take it to a mechanic to have the vehicle diagnosed.

SOURCE: how do i reset my check engine soon light 2005

you can buy a code reader from an auto parts store that will give you the ability to reset the check engine light, or most parts stores have one that they use on customers cars at no charge. if you ask them to read which code your car is throwing, most of them will let you hit the button to clear the code. they aren't supposed to do it themselves for some reason, but from my experience they will let you.

Car wont rev

At that mileage a service should include the smog items, you need the dealer or tech to reset light. Did you service it or a dealer?
Did it run well before service? If it did check back through everything that was done.

Go to local auto parts store and have them do a code check for you.  I know here where I'm at they do it for free, and can tell you right off the computer what the code is and possible things causing the code or codes.  Then you can go from there ad maybe fix it yourself, and save a ton of money. Here we have Auto Zone and Advanced Auto, they both do this for free.

No heat frim 2004 nissan murano

Check your coolant levels 1st, on both cars. If you've already changed out the T-stats, then you need to move on to the temp sensors, might be bad, but if your check engine light is on, pull the codes and see where that points you.
