How do i replace the oil pump

Car's been garaged for a year. took it out to drive it and the oil light came on. oil level wasn't very low, so i topped it off with a bottle of stp oil treatment. oil light went out. drove it about half a mile and the light came back on (no pressure guage, only idiot light). engine seemed to make more clettering noises when light was on, and after i nursed it home it had a hot oil odor. car is 1991 with over 200,000 miles

My low oil light stays on even after an oil change,as well as my ABS light and my low coolant light.

Sounds electrical (bad earth, chaffed wire, dirty fuse) but get the garage to put a oil pressure gauge on the car to make sure the oil pressure isn't low.
ABS light will mean brakes still work but not as efficiently so drive with care particularly in the wet.

Why does my low oil pressure light comes on when making left and right turns

Oil level is probably low. When you turn, your oil splashes to the right or left and your pump is not able to pick up the proper amount of oil to pump. If the level is proper, you might have the wrong grade of oil. Check your owners manual for proper weight for the driving sonditions you are in.

Where do i find the oil pressure switch on the toyota tarago is there one or to I replaced the one on the side of the motor near the starter motor but the red oil light is still coming on

First, do not keep driving if the oil warning light is on or your oil pressure gauge has dropped. Stop the engine, let it sit for a few minutes, then check the oil level.
If the dipstick shows a full oil level, then low oil obviously isn't your problem. The oil pressure may be low because of a worn or broken oil pump, a plugged oil pickup screen in the engine's crankcase, possibly a plugged oil filter or excessive bearing wear. Or, the oil pressure may be fine but the oil pressure sending unit has failed. Further diagnosis will be required to determine what's wrong.
Perform electrical tests on oil pressure switch http://www.clarks-garage.com/shop-manual/elect-19.htm
Replace pressure switch as the cheapest means of repair to see if the lights go out .
The pressure switch will be located on the engine block.

Sounds like float in fuel tank is sticking. Usually caused by using cheap gas. Fill it up and add a bottle of STP gas treatment. It might take more then one tankful w/STP to clean it completely. TIP: don't rely on the computer generated "mileage left" especially when that low on fuel, that is only an estimate. And also don't let it get that low on a regular basis because it will damage your fuel pump, fuel is used to cool electric pump in fuel tank and running it that low will shorten the life of your fuel pump.

check the oil level in your engine wow that's a tough one. Check engine oil level top up with oil in low. It does sound like an electrical issue. I would check ground to the engine too. start with that ieither of those do not remedy the problem. take it to a garage.

Well, top off the overflow tank to the marks as indicated based on engine temperature, and see if it happens again, and note how long it took for it to happen.

My oil has vanished?

just think if there is no oil in it you wont have to change it...why not fill it with oil and keep your eye on it ? oil just doesnt disapear it has leaked out or wasn`t in there to start with------ top it up a nd check it every couple of days..also if you had been driving just prior to checking the oilthere would have been a couple of litres floating around in the motor which had to drain back to the sump.if you want to be accurate checkwhen cold on level ground

Oil light stays on although level is up.

Either low oil pressure, or a leaking switch. If your switch is not leaking, you most likely have an oil pump problem, or a worn out motor.
