Steering wheel bibrates after (recal spark plugs) were replaced and it never did before.

sounds like plugs were gapped wrong or the firing order was changed by wires being put on the wrong plugs. take it back where the recall was done this will drastically affect your milage

There is a recall on them and i brought my car into mazda and after charging me $100 dollars they told me the recall had been over since 1998 and the to fix them the parts alone would be 2500 dollars is...

If your the orginal owner then the recall should cover you. Im not a lawyer but i was involved with a class action suite with ford some years ago. That by the way madza disigned for ford and i was the thrid owener of the vehicle. The problem had to do with the electronic ignition modelue when it got hot it would fail i had replaced two or three of them at about 140 dollars a peiceTo make a long story short i didn't have to do anything they sent me a letter i sent them recipts for parts and they sent me a check for 450 dollars that covered labor that i did in 10 minutes each time. And i olny had two of the recipts. But the vehicle was an 85 ranger and this came in 98 or 99. Things don't get recalled if there not a safty issue so if someone has demed that your saftey is in question over something that some company has disigned it should still be covered. You may need to do some investigating and mabey contact your state dep of com protuction but if its a saftey issue i don't see how you can be at fault or loose

Someone gave me 96 Windstar earlier this year and I believer the speed control modification issue has already been taken car of. The work was done close to the master cylinder to prevent fire am I...

You should have a Dealer run the Vin# for you again. Most likely if you were sent a letter it does still need a trip back to the Dealer. When the fuses were added to the Cruise Control the company found that it created a second problem.

The recall is for the second Cruise Control problem. Its a free checkup, you may be able to get an appointment to speed things up.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Is there a recall for the crank shaft for the Kia Sorento 2003?

There is a problem with the bolt that holds the Harmonic Balancer on the crank shaft and Kia will have to replace it. Be forewarned it may have to be done more than once so if it happens to it a second time stick to your guns and make them cover it. The bolt will shear off and the balancer will freewheel if you are lucky if you are not luck then a host of other problems can occur from crankshaft damage to a damaged fan shroud and radiator if it works it's way completely off but most likely it will just spin or damage the crank shaft. This should not be a DYI because if you do it and it comes off again you have no recourse if they know you have already done the work so this would be a silence is golden time. This affects several year models of the 3.5. You can find the service letter on the internet I had it but it's not that hard to find . You have to remember there is a difference between a RECALL and a SERVICE LETTER. The Recall will be sent out to all the owners the service letter is only for the dealership shop so unless you happen to have the vehicle in there for something else they may or may not mention it. A good Service Writer will catch it and suggest it done and you would be well advised to have it done because it will fail at any time and leave you stranded. Believe me there are lot of Service letters out on almost every vehicle it is the way the Car makers say oops we have a problem shops let's try to fix it before it becomes lawsuit material and they are backed into a corner where the problem is life threatening and they are forced to issue an official recall which will cost them a lot of money and bad publicity. Hope this answers your question as I tend to be long winded but knowledge is power when dealing with Dealerships.

Emergencey switch clicks even when turned off emergency switch clicks evan when turn signals are of

there may ber a recall on this problem, it is caused by the turn sigfnal/hazard flasher combination switch relay in the dash, check with the dealer 1st on the recall to see if it applies if not then u will need to replace the flasher unit in the dash, the switch is part of the hazard button and is located behind the ceter panel of the dash here is the whole recall.

2002 CHEVROLET MALIBU -- In December 2004, GM issued a special policy for MY 1999-2000 Alero, Grand Am and Malibu vehicles not covered under recall 03V327. The policy covered turn signal/hazard flasher failure for a period of 10 years or 150,000 miles (whichever occurred first) to provide a no cost replacement of the hazard switch. GM sent letters to owners starting December 30, 2004. In January 2006, GM will update the special policy to include MY 2002 Alero, Grand Am and Malibu vehicles not covered under recall 03V-327. The policy covers turn signal/hazard flasher failure for a period of 10 years or 150,000 miles (whichever occurs first) to provide a no cost replacement of the hazard switch. GM will send letters to owners starting late April 2006. The actions taken by the manufacturer is sufficient to resolve the issues raised by this investigation. The closing of this investigation does not constitute a finding by NHTSA that no safety-related defect exists. The Agency reserves the right to take future action if warranted by the circumstances. Investigation was initiated on September 27 2005. Closed on January 13 2006. For detailed information & supporting documents, see the official NHTSA page concerning investigation #PE05055 »

Chevy Impala 2000 oil leaking and getting on my belts

The front crank seal is likely suspect . A self doer job. But, ckeck the pcv valve first. You may have too nuch crank cas pressure, Even easier to fix if seal isn't destroyed.. might end up doing both.
