Where is coolant temp sensor and knock sensor on 95 nissan maxima

My car stalls in the hot day and drives fine at night. The car feels like its not getting gas. I was told to replace the mass airflow sensor and that my spark plugs and one cap need replaced. I hope with the above mentioned items installed my car will quit dying at stoplights and drive thru windows. Any help in appreciated, im very new to this.

Mine usually stalled coming out the driveway. I went thru replacement of 6 coils and plugs with almost no improvement on my 2000 maxima. Ultimately the mass air flow sensor was replaced. All the engine codes from check engine light would make you think the engine needs overhaul, due to the nature of resultant bad engine performance. You can buy maf sensor $100 online. 5 minutes to install it. I tried cleaning it, but it made no difference until I replaced it. After that it was like 50 more horsepower.

Is you check engine light on? Mine was doing the same thing. I found out it was the coil packs. It could also be O2 or temp sensor... Good luck

95 nissan maxima 3.0. have replaced knock sensor

I would have the charging system checked for over-voltage and AC ripple. There maybe a hidden wire harness problem if the charging system is okay. Wiggle test the wire harness while the engine is running to help locate the problem area. That is way to many parts replaced.

2000 maxima has erratic idle on cold days and will stall out on extremely cold days. Also, have noted antifreeze leak (on ground) on those really cold days. Car runs fine once it reaches normal operating...

It sounds like an engine temp sensor is open.. When your engine is cold or anti-freeze is cold your ECU or ECM gets a signal from the temp sensor for cold engine start. It would make sense that it works fine when hot because the resistance on the sensor is a lot lower. Take an ohm meter if you have one and check the resistance across the temp sensor pins. When the engine is cold the resisitance should be really high. Start and warm up your car to normal temp and check it again. It should be a lot lower now. If not replace it. Hope this helps.

I got 1995 nissan maxima , my car is running fine , after i shut off i leave it for day car crank but no start, have code p325 knock sensor, i check no spark , little injector pulse some times, have...

The knock sensor error could be the sensor, sensor circuit, or some misfire caused by a dirty/bad injector or some ignition problem.

One issue that might tie it all together is coolant leak causing the misfire/knock like a head gasket, but I think you would be throwing more codes or you would see more problems than what you have.

95 maxima knock sensor

It should be on the top of the engine, normally under the intake towards the back of the engine, get the new sensor first so you have a visual reference of what the connector looks like

95 nissan maxima runs rough

i would change the knock sensor first. if that doesn't fix the problem then a complete tune up would be the next step. but if the sensor has no resistance that is where i would start
