Question about 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe
Dear friend-it can be that the contacts is coroded.next step is to get to them.you need to remove the airbag. but first disconnect the battery.now remove the airbag(bolts is on the side.strip to get to the contacts.spray with contact cleaner and re-assemble

The ":contact" in my 2003 santa fe is a cheap piece of plastic. It wore out. I popped off the button and just press the contact direct. Leaves a hole but works. My cruise controls are located to the side of the steering column. I use my car for work not to impress people. It only has to impress me with performance.
