You need to remove the tank. the fuel pump is inside about 6-8 bolts. the big pain is the straps that hold the tank in try not to bend them at all.

I just replaced a fuel pump on a 1999 mercury grand marquis, car still wont start thinkin it might be fuel pressure regulator but unsure of where its located


have you check if the pump is actually working and did you change the full filter if so there is a full relay that's only if the pump is not working

Fuel pump replacement for a 1999 mercury sable


The fuel pump is located on top and inside the fuel tank. You must remove the fuel tank in order to replace the fuel filter. Disconnect the battery before dropping the fuel tank.
