Question about 2004 Ford F350
I have a 2003 Ford Crew Cab 6.0 Diesel SRW. I noticed yesterday that my truck was smoking. I thought it was the exhaust, so I adjusted the mirror while driving and noticed it was coming from my rear passenger wheel. I pulled over and checked it out and there was gear oil all over my wheel, brakes and right side of the truck. I took the wheel off when I got home, but could not really tell exactly where it was leaking from since there was so much fluid everywhere. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this as simple to fix as just changing out a seal somewhere, if so what seal? Thanks
If it is the seal on the bearing, its not easy it is very time consuming, but this can also be the veiw if you have a brake cyl leak which can be caused by the brakes being exessevely worn in the rear end. I would take it to a shop and have them check it out,
