Can not open the rear doors.

Doors won't open from the inside or outside.

There is an access panel in the middle of the inside of the door. Remove that panel and you can get in there and open your door and findo ut what is happening.

SOURCE: back doors do not open

check to see if the child guard locks are flipped on, they are near the latch, a littl lever.

Ur link cable from the DOOR HANDLE is dislocated and need for u to connect it again!
Just open the door sidings and u will see a wire cable dangling near the door lock, examine how the handle moves, u will see the hole that the link cable would be inserted.
2 nuts holds the door handle lock, remove them to make ur repair a bit easier!

Hit the door lock with the remote or dr. side will lock all the doors so they won't open from the outside. If you open the rear doors, on the outside edge of the doors is a lever that will allow the rear doors to operate from the inside. Hope that helps

Why wont the rear door open on my 2009 gmc acadia
from inside or outside ? if won't open from inside your child safety lock is probably tripped. if won't open from outside you probably have a lock rod that popped off inside the door, in which I would have the dealer fix it, it involves taking door pad off and when you can't open door to take pad off ,most of the time it damages it.

2006 buick lucerne back doors won't open
My friend just had this problem and he reached in and pulled the inside door handle back as far as it would go, and then let it go, allowing it to 'snap' back. For some reason this fixed it. We have no idea why. By doing this on one door, both rear door locks freed up and the rear locks are now working. Before, both rear locks were stuck and you could not open the doors from the inside nor the outside. Not sure why it works, but maybe it will work for you!

98 grand prix rear doors won't open
Sometimes..........tapping with a rubber hammer around the door latch .....which is about halfway down the door at the rear of the door from the exterior.......THEN pulling the lock button open on the rear door will allow you to........open the door.
Do not touch the outside handle until the inside lock button is triggered from inside the door.
If this does open the door (s) do not RE LOCK them until the latches inside the doors are WELL lubricated.....this lubrication will require inside door panel removal.

If the doors will open from the outside, but do not open from the inside - the child safety switches are probably activated. Open the rear doors (from the outside) and slide the small levers next to the doors locks (on the edge of the doors) upwards.

Volvo s40 rear doors wont open inside or outside
There is a child safety switch on the rear latch assembly that prevents opening from the inside handle. This switch may be on. Check your owners manual for more info.
