Question about 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera 3.3 L V.6
The a/c compressor in my Ciera recently has stopped working and therefore caused the serpentine belt to begin making a chirping/squealing sound. It has only occurred for two to three days but today it began to smoke and the noise intensified, I haven't drove it since it still starts and seems to be fine aside from the noise. The a/c compressor currently does not turn. I'm wondering if an a/c bypass pulley could help for a temporary fix or if I should replace the entire compressor.
It depends what you want to do. you can take the compressor right out and run a smaller belt.,if it will allow that,or replace it if you want air conditioning.
