My1993 mazda mx3 parking lights do not work

My car had recently got a body kit put on it but the front parking lights and side marker where never put in.The light socket started to rub the tire from hanging until the point it became bare. One day driving down the highway in the rain it shorted out.It burned up the fuse in the fuse box and the hazard lights and blinkers and tail lights stopped working, how do i install a inline fuse and relay for the tail lights to work.I am not worried about the front just the rear.

Hello i have a toyota camry 1992 and my passenger side marker wont turn off ???

That's very odd, because the wiring for all of the side markers are just splices from the nearest park lamp wires- the rear tail light in the rear (and the license plate lamps are also splices from these tail lights), and in the front side markers, they are splices from the nearest park lamps. Do all the other park lights work and turn on with the park light switch on? I would examine the 2 wires from that side marker's socket to the wiring harness it goes into-the power wire would somewhere splice into the passenger tail light wire. The other wire would be a ground wire and also splices into a ground wire for the rear end. To be on, the marker lamp would have to be getting power from some live source. I can't imagine where. Does the rear passenger light work correctly?

In that harness to the rear where the park lamps run, there might be a live wire going to an electrical trunk latch switch, or maybe a trunk lamp. If the wires were frayed right beside the side marker wire, you could have some cross feeding of power between the two. Let me know, we always appreciate feedback.

I have a 2003 honda odessy and dash lights and tail light are not working! Please help?

Both are separate fuses, check them first. Dash lights are controlled threw the dimmer switch. Park lights threw the turn signal switch. If you have front marker lights, then the rear is a ground problem. Ground is at the body, in the back, on the drivers side. If no marker lights at all , replace the turn signal switch. If the fuse is good for the dash, replace the dimmer switch.

On a 2006 madza 6, the front passager side only, lights do not work. But the blinker still works, why?

so you mean the signal works at the very front or the side light bulb(on the side of the lens assembly) that is not working.the side light is fed power using the same wire that feeds the front marker light.if you mean the light within the signal bulb is not working then the bulb could be burnt as the park light has its own wiring separate circuit and filament within the same bulb.

I have a 2003 GMC Envoy XL and the driver's side front parking and marker lights don't work although the signal light does. Both of the marker lights were blown and one of the prones in the parking lamp...

If you have a test light, you can check for power at the light sockets and connectors. If you have power, you can connect the alligator clip on the test light to the positive side of the battery and test for a faulty ground...Good luck!

The lower blinking light, how im i suppose to take it out to put the bulb

1. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screw from the top of the fender. (inside the fender, under the hood).

2. Move the side marker light assembly forward until it pops out of the body.

3. Turn the bulb holder one-quarter turn counterclockwise to remove it from the lens.

4. Pull the bulb straight out of its socket. Push the new bulb straight into the socket until it bottoms.

5. Put the bulb holder back into its hole in the lens, and turn it clockwise until it locks.

6. Turn on the parking lights and check that the new bulb is working.

7. Put the side marker assembly back into the body. Push on the front edge until it snaps into place. Install the mounting screw and tighten it securely.

Hope this helps you.

My instrument panel and park lights have suddenly stopped working and a new switch has not solved the problem. Any ideas?

run a wire from battery + to positive side of parking light. See if lights come on. If they do, check fuse.
