Clean the throttle body and make sure the butterfly valve is moving properly. also on the side of the throttle body is a valve called an IAC,it controls the idle speed.take it out and spray the spring with a cleaning agent.

My Ford F150 engine stopped running at low RPM.. I wonder if it's bad gas? Clogged Fuel filter?

The first thing to check is the Fuel pressure at the Fuel Injector Rail schrader valve. You can get an inexpensive test kit at Harbor Freight. The pressure should be between 28 and 45 psi with the engine running. If it is lower than that you can replace the filter. If that doesn't cure the pressure problem then the pump is next. Car started with sputtering, then started stalling when stopped, and now we can't even get it to turn on

Check you fuel pressure sounds like you might have a worn out pump. Also listen for the fuel pump when you turn the ignition switch to the on position you should here it for 2 seconds. If you don't here it then more than likely your pump is faulty.

With 220,000 miles i thought it jumped time but half way home i pull up to redlight and just sitting at idle and engine dies out like no fuel. so i get it started just to go about 150 yards and it starts...

If you have spark and the fuel line is flowing gas it still may not have enough pressure 35-40 PSI is normal and has to be tested with a gaquge. The idea the the timing jumped is a good one and a comression test can find it as the compression wiil be low on all cyclinders. 150 PSI is normal good ones as high as 180 PSI and lower than 100 they flat won't run. Adding a little gas to the air inlet as it's being cranked with the key makes it fire up and run breifly tells you it didn't jump time but has an injection problem or low fuel pressure. Make sure that your not out of gas and that the gas that;s init is gas not something else.223873880.jpgThe filter for the fuel looks like this and you might find it has water or **** in it. sugar even. 24734041.jpgBeing the timing set is gears and a chain unless it's been making noise for awhile they are quite reliable and seldom fail without making noise for many thousands of miles. The tensioner can braek making the chain very loose and noisy but you have to pop the clutch or somthing nasty to make them jump. A timing light connected to the number one spark plug and crank to see the mark may find it way off and the compression low so these are the parts pluse the chain that you'll need.1008659640.jpg

Engine will not start. I turns over. It like its not getting any gas.

You need to isolate the problem pour a little gas into the intake and see if it tries to run, if not , remove a spark plug wire and lay it on the engine with a known good sparkplug in the cap, turn the motor over and see if it is firing. If it is firing and you have fuel the only things left are timing and compression. If you broke a timing belt you can hear the engine turn over faster than normal when you are trying to start it.
If you aren't getting fuel, check fuel pressure with gauge if you have one at the TBI, most of the time it is either the fuel filter stopped up or the fuel pump gone bad. Can you hear the pump run when you turn the key on, you should hear it run the stop. If the fuel pressure is good at the TBI, ECM may have gone bad, it controls fuel and ignition. Is your check engine light flashing? You can jump a plug out on the firewall and get the fault code.

Fuel pump powerless all relays and fuses are good fuel pump is new engine runs with fuel in throtle body possible security system involvment maybe hidden relay cant find.

First - look around the engine bay for an electrical item with a red rubber top. If you find one - press it hard. Often manufacturers fit fuel cut-off switches as a safety feature. - You hit something or roll - it stops pumping fuel everywhere. They can trigger slowly by themselves over time - or with a slight knock at the front.
If it is not this - then it may be part of an immobiliser circuit.
Try another key to start before serious delving.
