Wow looking over your posts it sounds like you need a haynes or chiltons book if you plan on working on the 4 wheel drive you better have both. The brakes are fairly easy but you will probably need a set of allen wrenches that goes on a 3/8 s drive ratcheting wrench this allows you to get alot of torq on those 2 allens on the back side.i would also lift the whole front end up so that you can freely turn the wheels its tight under there.

I replaced the brake pads on the rear of my 1999 Olds Bravada. We didn't bleed the brakes because we didn't feel that we had compromised them. Now the brakes are dragging and it seem

Replace the calipers my friend. Corrosion on the caliper pistons is holding the brakes on causing the drag. That rubber boot over the piston doesn't seal from condensation and makes surface rust/corrosion and won't allow the pistons to release all pressure.

My father is experiencing a squeaking noise coming from the rear left wheel area (only in forward, not in reverse). Could this be a brake pad indicator? He has a 2000 Bravada

It will more than likely be the brake pad indicator as you mentioned. The only other noise would be griding and that would be indicative of a bearig or metal to metal on brakes.

2000 olds bravada rear brakes are draging. changed brake hose's to calupers and the center hose as well. with new brake and rotors still draging not sure what to do next.

I also have this problem on my 2000 Bravada - replaced all rotors and back calipers, brand new brake pads, new system and my rear caliper STILL chewed up a brand new brake pad in one week down to the metal. Checking for an emergency brake issue at this point - if anyone has any suggestions about how to unhook the E Brake, please share!

Sounds like the front brakes are grinding/dragging.

Your pads are worn out and will have to replace the front pads and rotors, this is dangrous as the pads have worn off and you will not have brakes for long get it looked at right away.

Brake change

First remove the tire, then remove two bolts on the in board side of the brake cailpier. remove cailpier, then remove bads. Use a C-clamp to push the brake piston bake in so that you can install the new pads.

1998 bravada brake problem

If you have not replaced any brake lines or brake calipers, then It sounds like that the brake proportioning valve or the brake master cylinder if defective. If the the brake pedal goes to the floor, the master cylinder is at fault. If not, the proportion valve, which is part of the ABS valve body is defective. Have your local garage check these two components for possible problems.
