Where is the backup switch on a 1991 s-15 jimmy?

Back up lights? It is on the side of the transmission. Called the neutral safety / range selector switch. drivers side

Check the fuse, then the bulbs, then the switch on the transmission. The switch could need adjusting, try moving the gear lever around the reverse point to see if the lights come on, if they do the switch may need adjusting.

trying tolocate the back up light switch on my 99 gmc jimmy. there is a switc similar to a normal switch on the front axle housing with a small cable going inin it. Im thinking thats for the 4 wheel drive not a back up switch. Im wondering if it is in the shifter inside the truck under the center console. if anyone has feed back or an answer it would be much appreciated im at wits end tryin to correct the problem and need back up lights it not a good situation when backing out of a spot at the store.

The brake switch is located on the brake pedal under the dash.Just follow the brake pedal up and you will see a plastic switch with wires on it.If you are looking tom replace it you can go to a parts store and buy the switch first and then you will know what to look for.Hope this helps.Good luck.

The The Park/Neutral Position and Backup Lamp Switch is located on the left side of the transmission under the lever where the shift cable hooks up. (See picture)

I had the same problem with my 1999 Silverado which would blink several times on the mode I selected then go back to the 2 wheel High. I found the switch module to be defective, after replacing it I have never had the problem again.

The multifunction switch is the switch that operates the turn signals and high beams as well as wipers, other manufacturer's call it a combination switch sometimes.
