Yes the car was salvaged when I bought it.I replaced those things because of a leak I was loosing all the water from the radiator ect. The light comes on for the check engine soon and the battery and the change oil It used to start now it doesn't even make a noise and it won't start at all

The water pump, hoses, radiator, thermostat, etc. will not affect starting. Did you have this problem before replacing those items, or has the problem appeared since you replaced them? Does your engine crank? If yes, does it crank at "normal" speeds i.e. fast enough to start? If yes, does the engine start and then die immediately? Why did you replace the radiator? Was the car in an accident?

If your battery seems good, I have one idea for you. See if your interior light and radio also don't work, if so you have a security system that's taking the ground away from your starter relay. Look in your manual to reset it.

I would start with the battery and move on to other electrical issues like the starter or alternator before trying any other mechanical fixes.

If it is coming out of the top of the radiator, you are getting back pressure. First, make sure there are not puddles under the engine where the water pump is at. If so, you will need to replace the water pump and gasket; as well as the thermostat. It sounds as though the thermostat is stuck closed - replace it (if no leaks from water pump) and see if this fixes the issue.
Also, start the car (radiator full) and let run to operating temperature. Feel the top radiator hose - if it is not hot, but the engine is, then the thermostat IS stuck closed. Be sure to ask for a thermostat housing gasket when purchasing the thermostat, as they do not always come together.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

How do I change a water pump on a 2001 Saturn SL

I loosen the pully bolts first, take off the belt. move the a/c compressor (leaving the hoses connected) take the pully off and you will find a ring of bolts on the outside of the water pump. Its easy. takes about 40 minutes.

May sound odd but try disconnecting the positive lead from your battery for about 60 seconds. Reconnect it then start your car. This should clear the error codes

We can not get my car to start it is a 2001 sl2 saturn

There are only a few things left, check the radiator or send it to a radiator shop to see if it is clogged, if its fine then it should be the water pump. What is the condition of the antifreeze? If it has been neglected the passage ways in the motor and heads could be clogged.
