Need to remove starter motor for 1952 Ford with 6cyl. I only see one (1) bolt.

There are just 2 bolts that hold the starter to the engine, then there is the battery cable and the starter solenoid leads, take note of where the wires go before removing them. Lets talk safety, use jack stands to hold the car up, disconnect the battery so you don't burn yourself or start an electrical fire.

yes they are very difficult to get to.
its just the top one and some mechanics leave them out after starter replacement.
it sounds bad but true.
i use either a stubby 10 mm wrench and a prybar to break it loose,
or a 3/8 ratchet and a wobble extenion and socket. it has to be the perfect length using different extensions to reach and still fit with the ratchet handle at the back of the starter.
sorry but it can be done.....
no stubby wrench, cut one

take old bolts to auto parts store and match

you need to use an extension long enough pass the solenoid so you can put a ratchet on to turn it

Remove the heat shield and all the little screws on sides so you can get a better leverage when cracking the two bolts
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the starter motor solenoid terminal cover.
4. Remove the nut and remove the wire.
5. Remove the nut and remove the wire.
6. Remove the three bolts and remove the starter motor.
NOTE: The one bolt you need like a 3 foot extension and go in by motor mount.
