Saleem, if you bought one all ready it should have some simple directions included, drain antifreeze ,you will need to remove a freeze plug that is in between cylinders , pick on that is eazy to get to, you want it to be some what centered in motor , use care when removing plug of your choice ,not to push it into block ,once out clean hole and test fit heater , most will not recommend using sealants the rubber will seal it by tightening small nut that will expand rubber on end to seal it .refill and test, DONT TEST WITH OUT COIL BEING IN ANTIFREEZE OR WATER.AND MAKE SURE WHEN YOU PLUG IT IN WALL SOCKET IT CAN HANDLE WATTAGE.

How to install Block heater 2007 Chev Cobalt LS?

I think you can buy a dipstick heater to keep the oil warm, or a coolant heater. Some replace a freeze plug (difficult to install) and some go into the radiator hose i think. Check with a parts store.

How to install a block heater into 2007 Chev Cobalt LS?

I`m surprised this didn`t come from the factory with a block heater already installed. if so look for an electrical plug like would be for a house hold lamp, somewhere in the area of the battery. if it didn`t come with one when you buy a block heater the instruction tell you were it is to be installed on the engine and position of element.

2007 chevy cobalt ls 2.2 power steering is ok till you come to idle an turn it stops turning sometimes is this a motor or mod. problem

The first thing to do is check the belt on the power steering pump. If it is loose or worn you can have this happen. I gather that you have checked the fluid.

My 2007 equinox does not have a block heater cord and im going to install one tommorrow before it get to 20 below i need a picture of the back of the motor to be sure where to install it

Block Hester's are generally installed in the freeze plugs. There will be three on the front and three on the back. The instruction say rear center so it will be the center frost plug on the rear of the block

Battery problem: RV travelers towing a Cobalt LS 2005

I don't think you want to have to be pulling and installing a fuse all the time. Have a power disconnect installed on the car where you can flip a switch and be ready to go.
