Hello friend .
As long as the original fault which brought up the light is now CLEARED then only a scan tool thats able to communicate with the air bag module can reset the light. .

If the original fault is still there, then the OBD reader reset WILL NOT work

Ask your friends with Pontiacs if they got one of these ... http://www.obdreaders.com/Pontiac/Firebird/

Can normally use these on other cars also.

Reset srs airbag

If the airbag light is on, there is a failure in the airbag circuit, and your airbag may fail to deploy in the event of an accident.
There is no "reset." You will need to have your airbag system serviced.

Airbag light

Obviously the computer in you car does not sense the airbag. It could be something simple like a bad connection or something major where the propellent or gas generator in the old airbag is faulty. In any event your system will not deploy so you should recheck your wiring and if that doesn't fix the problem, the airbag should be replaced.

Air bag light on golf 1.4 petrolwant go ou t

When the airbag light is on it means a fault has occurred in the system and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is called th clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact that turns with the wheel

Don't know where airbag sensors are on a 1995 Firebird.

On both lower frame rails behind the headlights. You need to remove the front bumper to gain access to them. On the out side of the frame rail about 12 to 15 inches back.
