It varies if u remove the head ur self around 50 bucks thuis is a guess prices varie from shop to shop

The 1985 Impala came standard with the Chevrolet 305 V8. All Chevrolet small block V8's from 265 cubic inches to 400 cubic inches from 1957 to about 1989 used the same block with almost no difference in the castings, so the motor mounts should fit from one block to the next. If you are trying to swap in a 350 newer than 1989, then the motor mounts are different, and you will have to have them fabricated by a local welder, machine shop, or perhaps the best, a local short-track race car driver/builder. Those guys can build anything.

Adjust rocker arms on 350 chevy small block
Back off on all the rocker arms and check to make sure you didn't bend any push rods then make sure you are starting on #1 Cylinder and readjust, when it starts you can finish the adjustment by backing off rocker arm nut till you here it TICK than tightentill TICK IS GONE. I do not have info on the fireing order for primary adjustment but you should be able to find on line complete instructions, Go to ASK.COM and ask for Chev 350 Valve Adjustment their are several to choose from and even YOUTUBE Videos on it.

Just got done tuning a Chevy 350 and it runs worst than before. checked points timing and everything.
Well your ? is for a 1985???? there were no points in 1985.

You may have some of the plug wires in the wrong firing order on the cap.

Change the distributor cap and rotor now car wont start
you may have the firing order wrong
look on the intake manifold you should see the firing order
it should be 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2
on each side of the intake there are number 1-3-5-7 on one side and 2-4-6-8 on the other side

Its typical to see smoke on start up on older chevy engines due to worn valve seals. The oil seeps into the cylinder by following the valve stem after the engine is ran.

Vaccum hose diagram for 88 chevy truck. I put a 350 motor in my 88 chevy 1500 truck from a 95 suburban. I cant get the throttle body to stop idaling to high. I may need a vaccum line diagram for this motor...
it may not be a vacumn leak from a line,check the throttle shaft for movement,for example,i had a 89 1 ton 350 and my throttle shaft was moving around a lot and in order to keep it from idling high,i had to kick the throttle pedal.But also check the idle air control valve,which is the round sensor on the side of the throttle body.
