Brad B, you da man!! this did the trick, worked like a charm. Note: Had to sit inside the car and hold keyfob right next to ignition for it to work right. Red light will go from blink to solid as its coding, and corresponds to lock light on dash. Also Note: I pulled horn relay and horn fuse while doing this, since when trying to do it from outside alarm goes off intermittently and won't go off (and I was at work) Once all coded, fuse and relay reinstalled. Good to Go!

SOURCE: can't lock mazda 626. tried fob and manual key. each time it switches to unlock ?
Did you try locking it to see if it could possibly have a reverse effect. Or if theres a short in the wireing harness
