Have you had the engine codes read??
I would lean toward a bad solder joint in your ECM (Engine Control Module)
If a cracked or cold solder joint is not making a good connection - after the vehicle heats up the module - then the contact is made after the internal components expand.
No OBD codes would be a good indicator the ECM is bad - as it does not report errors on itself :D
There is no fix for a bad ECM - it must be replaced as a unit.
Thanks for using FixYa!!
Hi.
Check the wiring first
The wiring of both the turn signals and the cruise control are closest
to eachother in the connectors behind the little storage compartment on
the lower left side of of the dashboard on the drivers side. If you
remove the lid (which can be easily done) you should see of couple of
connectors. Make sure all these connectors are connected properly. The
only way the turn bulbs can be turned on all together (6 six of them?)
is when there is a short after the flasher unit and between the hazard
switch. See the schematics on
Good luck !!!

The answer to my problem has nothing to do with the turn indicators.
My problem is, every time I start the car for the first time for the day the engine warning light comes on and after a very short distance the motor cuts out. I then restart the car and drive away as per normal but the engine warning light stays on, car runs good. After a few miles the engine cuts in and out very rapidly for approx half to three quarters of a mile and then continues to run with no problems but the engine light still stays on.
I had been using E10 petrol for a while and have been told this is the problem. Is it, I now use regular unleaded petrol but the problems still exist. I have new cam and crank shaft sensors plus new spark plugs installed.
