yo say there is nothing wrong w/ rear bulb . check the front bulb, i bet you find out that it is blown

excessive resistance offered somewhere in circuit chances are you can remove the bulb spray the socket out with some electrical cleaner or contact cleaner then reinstall the bulb screwing ti in and removing a couple time to rub the contacts clean if that doesn't work it's somewhere in the wiring harness.
