What can cause my MMCS, power locks, side mirror control, and AC blower fan to all go out at the same time?

A few weeks ago while driving my battery light began to flash erratically and once I stopped and tried to restart my car my MMCS, power locks, side mirror adjustments, and a/c blower would not cut back on. I was told the altenator was not providing enough power so I had it replaced but still not working. The MMCS will cut on after a while of driving but will soon go out after hitting any small bump. Unsure of what the issue could be and dealer is trying to charge a huge diagnostic fee. Please help me track down the possible cause. Thanks Joel Edmonson

Sounds like the bad connection for the relays. Please check the relay box inside the engine room. There is an indication in the fuse box. You can exchange similar relays first to find out which relay was out. In addition, use a big copper wire to connect the negative pole of the battery to the metal part nearby the AC generator for grounding.(must be tight binding) Hope this will help. Since it goes back out when you hit a bump, and it had come back on after driving a while, You've a bare spot in a wire that touches and shorting that system. You're going to have to pay a lot at the dealership to find this spot, so check it out yourself by following the wires that are near metal, anywhere. Once found, just tape it up with electrical tape.

Despite the contrary lemon laws do exist. and the issue has been not resolved so demand they replace it with a new vehicle or refund your total purchase and go elsewhere. please rate this thanks

An Auto mechanic got a rear bearing of my Mitsubishi Outlander (2003 model) fixed but I noticed a problem thereafter: the ABS indicator on the dash board stays on perpetually whenever I start the car. How do I get this fixed?

I have an 06 mazda 3. About a week ago while at a red light. I noticed my AC stopped blowing cold. Then when I accelerate it blows cold. Also my engine started overheating. Ive concluded that the issue was...

if your engine is overheating could be the problem of the ac not working , check the temperature sending unit located by thermostat housing , if it is bad will not let the radiator fan come on when ac is on and will cause your high side pressure ac line to get to hot causing the high side switch to disable the fan , also check the blower motor resistor it controls speed of blower motor

Heater or ac wont blow air in my 2003 ford escort zx2. heat comes out when the heater is on and i am driving fast? is it the blower fan? where would i locate it at?

Try unhooking one of the battery cables and leave it off for at least 20 minutes. When you hook it back up the

computers should re-boot. That has solved problems for me with heater, interior lites, power windows, AC, day

time running lites, power mirrors, fast idle, rough or slow shifting, CD player, and wipers on GM autos and S-10

PU and Dodge trucks. None of the switches are connected to the device they control anymore. The switch tells the

computer to open the window and the computer sends a signal to the window motor. When the computer gets

confused strange things will happen or not happen. Things like one headlight stays off etc. I actually had to do it

twice on my Bonneville because the first time the AC blower would only work in low and medium. After the second

re-boot, everything was fine. Of course you may have to re-set your radio stations.

If that doesn't work, check the fuses.

Check the battery terminals real good.Make sure they are clean and tight.Check and see if any of the side terminals are leaking. As far as the blower motor. It is more than likely that the blower motor resistor is bad.It is located by the blower motor.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Ralph,
Most common cause of this is the blower fan (proper name for the fan you refer to) continuing to run is a shorted out Electronic Climate Control Module. This solid state device replaces the older style fan speed resistor block (at about 4 times the price) This unit is found on the top of the HVAC box under the hood. (HVAC means heating, ventilation and air conditioning) The HVAC box is found on the passenger side of the firewall. Look behind the A/C's accumulator. It will have an electrical wiring plug on top of it. It will be fastened to the HVAC box with a few 7mm hex head screws. Very easy to change.
FYI, do yourself a favor and replace the blower fan motor at the same time. The Electronic Climate Control Module usually fails because the motor is drawing to many amps of current. This is because it's bushings are worn out or the brushes are worn out.
This is very common on Cadillacs and Buicks.
Charlie
PS Not sure why car won't start. Either you drained the battery or blew a fuse which controls starting the engine. Need more info regarding the "no start" condition.
