There is a fuse for the instrument under the dash on the drivers side, if the fuse is good. Then give the dash a hit with your close fist right over the instrument panel, sometimes that brings it back to life. It's common for the wire harness clip on the instrument panel circuit board solder goes bad and need to be re soldered, the heat of the current after a few years will melt the solder and the clip comes loose and needs to be re solder back in place. Just remove the instrument panel from the dash, disconnect the wire harness and remove the circuit board and solder the clip back in place. Good luck and hope this helps. be glad to help.

Speedometer don`t work

i found a "trick" with my van, same one as yours. mine did the same thing, i thought i had to replace the instrument panel. a very simple fix alot of people dont know about. just push and hold your odometer/tripometer reset button on your dash board (the black button thats sticks out under your speedometer) for about ten seconds or so, while your car is comepltly shut off, no keys needed, where your milage normally reads it will say "softe4" or something very similar, its going into their builtin software mode, release the button and watch your dash do some crazy stuff, dont get nervous, like i did, i thought i really messed it up, all your gauges go wild.. it resets everything to exactly where it belongs, recalibrates it if you will.. dodge did a good thing putting this feature in, avoids costly, unneccessary repairs. give it a try, hope it helps.

1997 caravan sport, gas ,rpm, heater, speedometer gauges ,doesnt work. every thing else works, all lights, horn, turn signals, etc.?

There is likely a bad electrical connection at the back of the instrument panel. Remove the instrument panel, unplug the connectors, clean the contacts on the plugs and the panel with rubbing alcohol and q tip, and reinstall.

My gauges in the instrument panel are not working: speedometer, tachometer , fuel gauge etc.

If all the guages quit working at the same time, then it is probably a blown fuse. Check your fuse panels in the dash or under the hood. Look for a fuse that is labeled instrument panel or guages, it is probably blown.

Everthing on my dash (speedometer,odometer,fuel

Blown Fuse or fried Circuit board. Take to a local AutoZone, Advance, Murray's, O'reillys or a similar part house for them to check the wiring. I'm assuming the van does not use a mechanical Speedometer or Fuel Gauge.

On the plus side, with no speedometer, your indicated odometer mileage does not increase. Just keep your speed down and your tank full. Kidding, just kidding.

The instrument panel works sometimes and then it doesnt.(the gas gauge, water temp, speedometer).also a leak by the oil filter

The gauge cluster usually has a plug where the wiring harness connects. If the entire cluster goes out, but comes back, it is most likely the plug.
