You can replace the timing belt yourself if you have access to the necessary equipment. You have push top of large mirror is asif you were adjusting it to its highest position, then slide the mirror glass up and off, this in turn allows you access to the screws that hold the whole light unit in place which with the aid of some torx bits which are inside mirror casing you can remove. hope this makes sense.
