Re: how do i canceal my service engine light
The light can be reset with a scan tool. However, the light is on because the pcm has detected a problem in the emission control system. Pull the code from the computer with a scan tool or code reader, clear the SES Light and post the code here if you need additional assistance.

Not sure on model but to me sounds like its a dodgey valve lifter when the seals start to go they cannot hold the oil and when there under pressure they basically empty them selves hence when you turn the engine off and restart you get a rattle sound untill the valve fills again as long as the cars running ok leave it untill you have to replace them unless there easy to do sone are sone are a pain
that will be the fuel pump or injector relay ( should be 2 there on left fuel pump right injection system) eather way if one not working engine will not start. if it is clicking then it needs to be changed.
When posting a problem, it is very helpful to identify the vehicle model and year, as well as which engine and the mileage. In general, a problem with stalling can sometimes be caused by a dirty throttle body and a thorough cleaning will help. Vacuum leaks can also cause this problem.
You will need to take it to a mechanic or auto parts store that has a code reader for OBD-II. They will be able to scan the codes and reset them. Many auto parts stores do it for free. If the code is just 'scheduled maintenance' this will fix it, but if there is a problem and you don't correct the problem that has caused the light to come on, it will just come right back. Good Luck!
hi, the oil light in your vehicle comes on to let you know that the oil pressure or level is low. sounds like the oil change was performed, but the oil level was not returned(not filled) correctly, or not filled at all. also a possibility that the oil leaked out from a leaking oil filter or drain plug. you should check the oil level on the dipstick before you drive again. if it is low, or empty, the engine will likely blow very soon. fill the oil if it is low until it shows on the dipstick. then top off until on the full mark. or, call the shop that performed the oil change and have them tow your vehicle back to have it serviced correctly. you should be upset at this fact, there should never be a time when you just have your oil changed and the oil light comes on soon after. this generally tells you that your vehicle was not serviced properly.
