Either the throttle position sensor is shot, bad 02 sensors or leaky vacuum line

2005 Nissan Altima jerks while driving, stops jerking when in neutral.

That usually happens if you're in too high a gear. If it also seems to accelerate slowly, you may have a fouled plug or other cause of a dead cylinder.

I have a 2003 Nissan, Altima 2.5 check engine light comes on than car stars jerking, after a while it stops. could this be an electrical or a fuel pump issue?

You need to take it to Autozone so they can scan the computer for you. They will let you know what is wrong and what to get to fix it. It doesn't cost anything for the test. Other part stores offer the same service. If you have a question, let me know. I am here to help. Thank you for using FixYa.

I have a 1995 silverado after start up , it idels high, engine light comes on, putting it in gear, it jerks, but if I put in back in park while still idel high and tap gas it will go down to normal, then...

May be throttle position sensor. The engine light comes on because of afault signal from one of the sensors. Going out is temporary. After 3 events, the ligh will come on again. It needs to be scanned to find the problem sensor. more than likely the TPS. Good luck

Car is messing up and dont know where to start fixing

What color is the smoke? White smoke is moisture/steam - which can indicate coolant is leaking into the engine (head gasket going bad).
Have you noticed your coolant level going down? Check the level in the overflow tank and the radiator each day (after the car has sat for several hours) and see if it slowly goes down.
