check for vacuum, get in truck pump brake paddle 4 times then hold brake paddle down start engine you should feel paddle go down 3-4" if it don't bad brake booster, good luck.if this was helpful don't forget to rate thank you,
I have a 1998 ram 1500. And sometines especially when its hot outside mine down shifts hard as I'm slowing down. And the gas pedal feels stiff. I press the gas down real fast and it unsticks but then when I come to the next light it does it again. If it's cold out dose it doesn't do it as much if at all. I heard it could be a throttle body sensor. Any advise?
really dont understand what your saying but, i would look into the master cylinder as a failed diaphram vacuum. If your break pedal is real hard to push and you really dont have alot of beaking it is the master cylinder
Step on brake paddle with engine off, then with foot on brake paddle start engine, brake paddle should go down a few inches, also check for vacum at power brake booster under hood ( sit in back of master cylindre ) if you have vacum there and brake paddle did not go dnow a few inches, replace brake booster.
The key and tumbler is bad. If rocking the steering wheel did not work the tumbler is the problem. Which brake foot or parking brake is stiff ? How do you mean stiff ? Is it hard , or hard to push?
