06 DURANGO HEMI, ROUGH IDLE WITH AC ON

I just got this suv a week ago and i have had it to the dealer 3 times since with a rough idle with the ac on and also it has some sort of intermittent tremor on the highway as well. it seems to me that it does it more when you have more accessories on ie, lights, radio, dvd player, extra trailer lights when pulling etc. idles at 650 and is rough as hell with the ac on, when the ac is off it drops to 500 and idles perfectly...WTF dealer cannot find anything wrong but they admit to the issues

I have a durango R/T 5.9, but with any car you buy especially like one's with big block V8 any time you turn on the ac your vehicle will lose power as well as consume more fuel hence you vehicle has to idle at a higher RPM.

What causes 06 frontier xe to start to rough idle almost like misfire. only at idle and its not plugs or coils, problem happens faster with ac running no problem at acceloration

The automatic idle control valve might need to be cleaned. A faulty cam sesnor will do it too. Have a diagnostic test done on it to pinpoint the cause.

I have a2004 mazda 3 s when the a/c is on the idle gets rough when the compressor cycles on and off. A/c works intermittenly, can feel the idle fluctuate even while at speed and slightly accelerating.

when the ac compressor comes on, the engine should rev up a little to compensate for the strain of the compressor and if this is not happening, then you would get that rough idle. Some engines have a valve control to let in a little air into the engine intake so that it revs a little. I think this is called an AC step up.

1997 ford escort idles rough when hot

1997 escort idles rough, the first thing is to make sure the throtlebody plate is clean. This sounds like the idle may be staying to low at times if it smooths out with ac on, when the ac is turnned on the computer raises the idle a touch to make up for the strain on the engine from the ac compressor, clean throtlebody and look at and clean idle air control valve, if this valve is not controlling the idle when needed the engine will idle lower than normal and cause a rough idle.
Another thing is the sparkplug wires, take a look at those, if at night or with a good eye use a spray bottle and spray a mist over the wires and watch for any sparking, this spark may be very small so look at each wire closely or may be big enough to see and hear. this is where i would start. good day.

Engine stalls when making full stop when AC is on, but when I cut it off it's just fine.

Check when idling and warmed up if the rev drops when the AC is on. It may be too low or is running rough. You may have to adjust the idle screw with little adjustments. If the idle is running rough, inspect the idle air control valve. It may be dirty or faulty.

mcdevito75 here, Sounds like a faulty voltage regulator, it"s 1 unit with the alternator, change the alternator, also the alt. supplies juice to the ignition switch, distributor abd plugs, thus a rough idle due to bad alternator.

Rough idle when a/c on

it is normal for your car to idle down when the ac pump cuts in just have your timing checked and adjust your idle as necessary at about 750 rps at normal idle with ac off also just make sure they havent overtightened the ac belt and pulley.
