I would sugewst to check at a part store buy a serpinetine belt and look at diagram on side of box most belts come with diagram or go on to google images and look for your engine

Click on the following free direct Link. It has the correct Serpentine/Drive Belt Diagrams for your 2001 Volkswagon Jetta with either the 1.8L or 2.0L In-Line 4-Cylinder Engine.
