If it's also a "wub wub" sound, look into your tires. I had a flat spot in my front driver's side tire that made the "wub wub" sound. Couldn't hear it well if driving slowly, but as I would pick up speed, the "wub wub" would increase in frequency and volume.

Is it coming from your exhaust. Does it smell like antifreeze? antifreeze has a sweet smell. That could mean a bad head gasket. Since it goes away after 15km, I'm assuming the heat expansion on the engine does away with the leak. It could also mean a lot of other things. Has your engine overheated recently?

A distinct thumping directly proportional to my speed when ever I let OFF on the accelator. It will also stop when I brake. At first I thought tires, but now I think it's in the engine area. I'm...

If its derictly proportinal to your speed and stops when you brake it would have to do with wheel speed so i would look at the cv joint they make niose when there wareing out and are directly related to wheel speed
