Why does my turn signal/ hazard light fuse keep blowing out

you have a short in one of the light sockets or a worn wire from the wiring harness. could be the flasher assembly. are the turn signals different bulbs from the brake lights? Does using the brakes blow the fuse? (Rear lights or brake light switch on brake pedal). left or right turn signal blowing the fuse will tell which side has the short. 4 ways only, replace the relay.

2007 jeep liberty. The right rear directional (turn signal) lights up when you apply the brakes.

Try putting on the right rear directional signal. If the red brake light blinks, then maybe the bulb sockets are in the wrong position, on the brake housing, and those two sockets just need to be swapped around.

How do i replace brake light

Rear: Brake, Back-up, Tail, Turn signal (3 bulbs, all # 3157):
To access the rear bulbs, open the liftgate and remove the two phillips head screws from the side of the housing as shown in the center photo above. Slowly and firmly rotate the assembly away from the vehicle until it disengages from the ball pin socket that secures it in back.

Each of the three light sockets, all containing the same exact bulb type, can be removed by turning them counter-clockwise 1/4 turn.

How do i change the brake light on jeep liberty 2006?

1) You will need to open the rear swing door.

2) On the inside jam there are two torx headed screws (T-15's if I remember correctly).

3) Unscrew the two torx screws.

4) The light is now held by two mounting tabs (small spherical headed plastic sets that go through a rubber grommet).

5) You will need to pry the light casing off (easy pressure with a good size flat head screw driver will do the trick).

6) The light bulbs are twist mount settings inside the light casing.

7) Twist out the mount setting, change the bulbs, and reset the light mountings.

8) To put the light casing push the light casing back on and put in the screws. Everything else will work in reverse when it comes to assembling the whole unit.

My passenger side brake light keeps blowing out. It only lasts about 1-2 days after it's replaced. Can anyone tell me why this happens?

Most likely cause is a poor quality bulb. That's what I've found the last few years. China doesn't make a good lamp. You need to check for good wire harness connections, proper grounding, bulb fit in socket, moisture etc. Mostly, easy stuff.

The two back brake lights went out at the same time but the brake light on top of the rear window still works, would the problem be the bulbs or a fuse? 2005 Jeep Liberty

Both of my brakelights have gone out on my 2005 jeep liberty. The problem is the brakelight socket. I bought replacement socket from the dealership for about $8 each. They are wireless and easy to replace. They sit on a circuit monted to the back of the tailight. The dealership will need your vin # as there are different types of sockets for the liberty.

Brake light and turn signal light not working

Did the new lens come with new sockets? If not damage may have occured there that you cant see. only other possibilty is wiring damage in the rear that may be hard to see. The condition you describe is simple "backfeeding" if you look hard enough youll either find bad sockets or damaged wires close to the lens that took the hit. Hope this helped. Thanks
