I need help removing the fuel pump from my 1998

I need help removing the fuel pump from my 1998 chevy truck it seems to be fixed in place, i dropped the tank and see no visible way to remove from the tank

It has a lock ring that you have to hit counter clockwise in order to remove it, you must clean around it first so that you don't put stuff into the tank and be careful not to cause a spark, the lock ring looks like an upside down soda bottle cap sort of or if you know what a spanner wrench looks like [[[[ but sideways once the ring is turned the pump will come out.
