Brake pads souldnt be to tight a fit as they need to back off the disc when the pedal is released. sounds like the pads may be stuck.

were the calipers easy to back off when fitting the pads? as there isnt any adjustment on car calipers that i know of. also are the sliders of the caliper free as these can go very tight.

I have a 2000 pontiac montana that i notice a small clunking noise when applying the brakes.I just replaced the outer tie rod ends and right axle along with both front hub assemblies

Is the run out on the brake rotors within specs and are the brake pads fitted tightly in their mounts and high temp synthetic brake lube been applied behind each brake pad?
Also the wheel nut torque needs to be correct tightness so the rotor does not move on the wheel studs.

Brake pedal soft after changing pads and bleeding brakes

You will need to bleed the brake system. I would start with the rear brakes lines and work towards the front. You must have key off engine off when bleeding brakes, apply pressure on brake pedal 10 times and hold. The brake line is now ready to be open. Open and let the stream of fluid come out and close the line tight. Then release brake pedal once bleeder screw is close. This procedure must be repeated twice front and back. After, brakes have been bleed pump the brake pedal before putting in drive.
Note: Don't let the resevoir run low on brake fluid. This will cause air bubbles to accumulate on the brake system. Always top off before opening bleeder screw.

I have seen this a couple of times but it usually comes on slowly with wear ov the servo, it might be honest but it does not sound it to me, maybe a second opinion would be good, even if the servo was inhibiting the fluid recouperating it would have been apparent to the fitter if they were good enough

Wheel sticking on peugeot 406 on a p reg

The brake hose maybe bad replace it. They can claps on then self inside the hose. One work to check is have someone push the brake paddle down and release it if the rotor is hard to turn, open the bleeder vale if fluid comes out and the rotor turns freely that you problem.
