How difficult would it be to change the front oil seal in my Mazda ?

It has begun to make oil stains in the driveway on the passenger side towards the front of the engine

SOURCE: changing a wheel bearing, 2003 mazda 6

to change that, using a hydraulic press is highly recommended. if you are DIY experienced, this trick works as well:

take a pice of a stable metal pipe, 10-20 cm long. and in diameter just a tick smaller than gross bearing size. take a very heavy tool and use the pipe to beat out the old bearing. dont be shy, needs a lot of power.

do not use this method to insert the new bearing. use a pice of wood instead (must sit stable on the outer bearing ring!!), lubircate a bit and beat carfully and very straigt in fractions of a mm. this is the difficult part and here the bearing may brake if you are too rough.

Not really recommend, but working when used with brain and care.

SOURCE: mazda mx5 smoking problem

Please provide more details for analysis like:
- what is the mileage on your car?
- is it smoking continously or only intermittently? How much smoke is it?
- what colour is the smoke? bluish or sooty?
- does it smoke when engine is cold or hot?
- is your car losing power?
- is your car consuming motor oil and at what rate?
- has the engine ever been overheated?
- is there an engine MIL ( malfunction indicator light ) code flashing on your dash? If it has, then you need to get the workshop to run a scan of the engine's computer to find out what the possible faults are.
- by the way, is your mx-5 fitted with a rotary engine or the common 4-stroke piston engine?

SOURCE: can't control passenger window in mazda 6

Passenger window lost programing. To reprogram, turn the key on, go to the passenger side and with the passemger switch run the window all the way down and hold switch in down position for 2 seconds, then run all the way up and hold in up position for 2 seconds, then repeat again within 5 seconds. Should work from drivers side master switch now.

water getting in somewhere,. I'd say it is coming from the front or rear window seal - since that's probably higher than the driver or passenger side windows - under the guise there's no holes in the body from rust.... Water travels towards the path of least resistance. If you could remove the light cover and perhaps the fixture, you may be able to get a better eye on where it is traveling in from...

Starter location

Keep in mind that the engine sits in there sideways, so the "back" of the engine, or flywheel is actually on the driver's side (the front is on the passenger side). The starter for any vehicle is at the flywheel. Raise the vehicle and crawl underneath from the front on the driver's side. Look for the oil filter. Slightly above and to your left (toward the driver's side wheel well) is the starter.
Kindly rate my answer as helpful as this is the only way I get credit for it. Thanks.

It looks to me like you'll need to drain the motor oil and remove the oil filter to have room to remove the starter.

2005 Yukon Front Diff Axle seals

You don't have to remove the whole diff to change the seals, but you will have to seperate it where the shaft meets the carrier housing. There is a clip holding the passenger axle shaft in place that you have to remove to change the seal. The drivers side axle stub can be removed with a little force as there is a spring clip holding that side in.
