Installed new battery, all lights and chimes and whistles work but wont start.
Check the starter, check the cable that goes from the battery to the starter. make sure its tight and not loose. take a hammer and tap on the starter. If the vehicle still doesn't start. Change the starter.
Have someone listen under the hood for your starter relay to click when you turn the key. If it does then your starter solenoid is bad and the whole starter will need to be replaced. You could try tapping on the starter with a hammer while someone holds the key.
Sounds like a starter or starter selnoid problem.
Ignition switch possibly? Doesn't GM have a lot of problems with their ignition switches? Good clean battery terminals I hope? Battery is fully charged? Has 13 volts or so?

Try unhooking the battery, turn key on, leave door open, then connect battery, start engine immediately. The battery saver module thinks it's saving your power!!

Turn on your headlights and have someone watch them for you. turn the ignition key just as if you are going to start the vehicle. If all the lights stay just as bright throughout this procedure you probably have a vehicle with an ignition system fuse. The fuse may come in the form of fuse in the fuse panel or as a fusible link in the small red cable from the positive battery terminal. If it's in the fuse panel just replace it.(even if it looks okay, it may just be a fifty cent fix) If it's in the cable it then requires a test light and the ability to do a little electrical trouble shooting. It may come in the for of a sealed circuit breaker in the fuse box under the hood. Just check out your owners manual. If you don't have one and you have a parts store close by. You may even be lucky enough to have a parts store that sells Chilton manuals or something like it. If they aren't sealed in plastic you may find the info free by just browsing the pages in the store.
