Question about 2005 Ford Escape
Once the vehicle is started there is a constant hissing sound coming from under or behind the dash on the drivers side, until the brakes are applied. it only goes away when the brake pedal is depressed.
The power brake booster has a bad valve. I can't suggest where to find a new valve for it, but you can buy a rebuilt replacement. They are usually not hard to put on.
