1998 Buick LeSabre Headlight issue

Currently my low beams do not work. The problem is that they didn't just burn out. The passenger side light was the first to go. It would intermittently work over a period of about 6 months and finally quit all together. 2 months after that the driver side headlight stopped working. I replaced the bulbs but its still not working. I also checked all the fuses under the dash and under the hood. I also bought a relay and tried it in all the relay spots. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Check the fuse terminals for corrosion, and the terminals at the end of the wires connecting the bulb. Check the gaps at the connector. If too wide, (wider than the terminal on the bulb) that may be the issue. I hypothesis that over very long period of time, due to vibration of the wire and terminal, those terminals may loose contact with the bulb terminal. Have it replaced if that is the issue. Prior to that, check if there is any current passing through to this terminal. If there is no current, you may have a grounding issue on the wire harness.

Have you checked the relay in the circuit. You really need a schematic of the wiring diagram. Electrical can be tricky without the wiring diagram.

02 Buick century the passenger low headlight not working but high beam is. I checked fuses inside the car what others things can I check.

There should be a left and right fuse and a relay involved.
The lights get power from the fuses, and the headlight switch and dimmer switch provide the ground circuit. So if you check the headlight plug with a meter you should have power and ground for high and low beam.

What would cause the low beam headlight not to work when all other lights work?

If you have standard halogen bulbs:

  1. Burned out light bulb; or
  2. Fried wires between the dashboard wiring harness and the headlight bulb connectors; or
  3. Fried headlight bulb connectors.
If you have HEI emitters:
  • Failed ballast.

Low beam headlight - passenger side - on my 2006 Buick Lacrosse does not work. I've tried a new bulb - no help. The fuse - underhood fuse box - for the low beam is good. There is no voltage to that fuse...

From Info I have looked at I believe under hood micro switch relay 35 is for low beam and 34 is for high beam. It also looks like you have a different fuse for each light. The relay are for both low beam or both high beams. each headlight has its own fuse. I believe #4 fuse under hood is for passenger side low beam. fuses 1-4 under hood are for the four headlights as I understand the info I have seen.

Changing passenger side low beam headlight bulb for 2001 Buick LeSabre Custom

there is very little room to gain access to the bulb from behind the headlight assembly.if you remove the plug for the headlight and then slide your hands down on either side of the bulb.there is a lock ring that you must remove(unlock)first.then pull the bulb out and install the new bulb and reassemble in reverse order.NOTE don`t touch the bulb glass with your hands or it can burn out prematurely from the oil on your skin.

Hi, I have a 2002 Buick Rendezvous and the high beam light will not come on on the Passenger's side headlight. The low beam works great and the high and low beams work great on the driver's side. We have...

Make sure the high beam realay under the hood fuse box is working. You can swap the hi beam relay with the horn relay to test. The hi beam filiament in the bulb can be open too.

Low Beam Drivers Side doesn't work ... low voltage,

Power for the headlights on the Left side (High and low beam.) comes from the same fuse... The ORANGE wire and the ORANGE/BLACK are the same, they connect in the harness. If you only lack the 12v to make the light work connect them at the headlight assembly.

If your low beam also lacks ground the Left low beam ground is shared with the right low beam ground... Run a wire from left low beam DARK BLUE to right low beam DARK BLUE/WHITE.

If its not working now then your cursed, seek a witch doctor.
