The oil drain plug is at the side of the oil pan towards the rear of the car. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted it you need help with the oil filter.

Hi !! I have a problem with my 2004 Ford Mustang. I was changing the spark plugs and acidentally oil whent down in the cylinder. What can I do to fix that problem ?

Leave plug out and spin the engine over it may start but just turn off. All oil will shoot out put a rag over plug hole. You will be in great shape oil won't hurt the cylinder. dONT put plug in or you could hydro lock the cylinder and break the connecting rod

I have a 01 mustang gt 4.7 and getting gas in my oil. the service light came on and told me that the number 6 cylinder wasnt fiering right. what do you think the problem might be

The gas in the oil can mean you a number of problems one can be your rings in that cylinder or gone. the misfiring can be because the spark plug can fowled up with maybe oil getting in the combustion chamber this is just one of many problems it could be tho.

Need to know how to change the oil on a 2008 Hyundai sonata, how many quarts does it need.

ALMOST every car I've worked on has a drain plug on the "oil pan" ..big,.. usually stamped pan on bottom of motor to release used oil .. 1.drain oil 2.reinstall plug
3.remove and replace filter 4. refill with oil.. (my rule of thumb is 4 qts. for 4 cylinder 5 qts' for 6-8 cylinder) you failed to mention 4 or 6 cylinder (your car came with both)

Location of oil drain plug

Bottom passenger side of oil pan. On the side of the pan. It is a metric bolt and the pan is aluminum, be careful not to strip plug when threading it back in.

Oilfilter

You didn't post the size of motor but once you drop the skid plate, you will see it.

The oil filter is under the engine skid plate. You need to remove the trap door to see.
The skid plate door is located by the drivers side door, directly midway underneath the vehicle. You will need a flat or Phillips-hear srewdriver to open the trap door. Don't worry, the screws are 'loss-proof' and will not fall off the trap door plate. Once this has been removed, the oil drain plug and oil filter are now visible and accessable (how smart is that!) Typical oil change and oil filter replacement time = 15-20 mins. for a familiar shadetree. p.s. The Inline 6 (24 valve - 4.2L) takes 7 quarts of oil. Good luck!
