Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Bravada

1 Answer

Yesterday in 90 degree weather after my car runs for a couple hour and gets hot it wants to shut down it makes a noise like it is not getting any power. After you let it set for about 20 minutes it allowed me to go about 5 miles then it sat for 2 hours and let me go ten miles then I let it set for 4 hours and it let me go ten to fifteen more miles then it had to set for awhile. It done this again and again until i finally made it home.

Lets start with the easy first and replace the fuel filter. One the fuel filter has been replaced and the problem persist, we can go to the next step and check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve. But for now it's most likely the fuel filter has come to the end if it's life, they should be replaced every 30,000 miles or once a year which ever comes first. Good luck and keep me posted. You can pick up the fuel filter st Auto Zone and they can give you the step by step instructions to getting the job done and Will also have the quick fuel line release wrench for lone or purchase.

After turning off power washer, it makes several creaking or groaning like noises. Never heard it before , its a craftsman power washer, is there something wrong. Or is it getting too hot. Help.

To hot. Don't let it set and run without the pressure handle being released. If you take your hand off the trigger for more than a couple minutes. Shut it down.

You may want to replace your crankshaft position sensor. They tend to "open" the circuit when they get heated after they have begun to wear out.

Lose clutch in hot weather on 99 kia

Is your clutch fluid reservoir low? It's on the firewall, next to the brake master cylinder. If it's full, your clutch master cylinder or the clutch slave cylinder needs to be checked. One may have a weak seal that leaks internally..

Ethanol fuel in hot weather will vapour lock easier than the old non-ethanol fuels.
Maybe that was all it was.
I get the calls ........usually from shopping centers on very hot days on cranking but no start cars.....and it is 80% just a vapourized fuel problem. TOO HOT FOR THE FUEL UNDER THE HOOD.
The cars start the next morning....or late in the evening.

BMW 325, hard to start in hot weather.

before you try to start her again in hot weather, open your fuel filler cap, listen for any pressure release, close the cap, and try to start, if this works, then its just heat expansion in the fuel tank, replace the filler cap if this is the case
