2006 V8 Toyota Tundra Faulty Alarm System

The alarm goes off when I lock my toyota tundra. It may not go off right away - it could sit there for hours and then all of a sudden it will go off. Very annoying when it happens at 3 AM in an apartment complex. Naturally when I take it to the dealership they can't find anything wrong. What could it be? Or how about telling me how to just disable the alarm.

My 2002 toyota tundra alarm is going off and i cant turn on my truck

the IMMO light on,,,, the IMMOBILIZER, ever read the operators guide

Can not start car, that is because the security system is in ALARM
and that tells the IMMO not to allow starting, all by design.

the alarm system must be diagnosed,
the manual will show how the alarm is detecting a breach.
all cars, have tests to see what is in alarm.
look here.
alldata.com
see the security system checks.

2004 toyota tundra alarm keeps going off and truck won't start

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you remove the positive battery connector and let it sit for at least 5mins. before reconnecting it. This will reset the system and can get your vehicle back to it's normal operation.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Where is the starter located 2006 toyota tundra 4.7 v8

the easiest way to locate it , follow the positive battery cable down to it, they are a bear to replace,, last thing I saw on them was you had to remove windshield wiper arms and all kinds of stuff to get to them heres what a guy listed on his 2006 If your Tundra has a 4.7 L v8 then be prepared for a long job. The starter is under the intake manifold and takes about 4 hours to take the intake manifold, fuel injection and some cooling parts off just to get to the starter. It is not impossible and I did it and save about 600.00 in mechanics fees
