Why is my check charging system light is on?

may be a bad alternator, bad battery, or your serpentine belt is loose. go to autozone and let them do a load test on battery and alternator. additionally if sepentine belt tensioner is loose then you may need to buy another tensioner. all are real easy fixes

Fan belt came to tighten?

it does not have a fan belt, it has a serpentine belt. the radiator fan is electric. if the serpentine belt is loose, means your tensioner's spring has lost its strength, you need to buy a new tensioner. they are about 50 bucks at autozone or advance. if you look around under the hood you will find a little picture of the belt, and a wrench being applied to the tensioner in order to remove the belt. get a new belt while you are at it. in the real world you are going to take off the right front tire and remove the service access panel behind it which will expose the bolts to remove the tensioner and allow you to put the belt around the crank pulley. it could be done without removing the access door, but unlikely. there is a motor mount there also, called a dog bone. if it has never been replaced before, this would be a good time to do that as well. they are about 18 dollars each. when you have that under your belt you can go hog wild and replace the dog bone on the other end of the engine, under the battery holder.

Have a 2002 RX300 that needs the Alt. belt replaced. Bolts a real pain to get to. Have them (3) loose. Do any need to come out or just loose? Thank you

You are only supposed to losen then. Here are some good instruction with layout that might be of help:

  1. Loosen the pivot bolt and adjusting lock bolt. Torque: Pivot bolt: 38 foot pounds. Adjusting lock bolt: 13 foot pounds.
  2. Loosen the drive belt tension by adjusting bolt and remove the drive belt

  1. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

To remove the P/S belt, remove the right fender apron. Then loosen the pivot and adjusting bolts, swing the P/S pump towards the engine and remove the P/S belt.

Back firing, seems like lack of fuel, need to know where both filters are

Back firing is caused by improper firing order or bad timing belt or chain.Verify spark plug wires are on in correct order. If no one has been changing wires, check that when harmonic balancer is lined up at top dead center that rotor in distributor is lined up to tower that goes to plug wire that goes to number one cylinder. First plug in front on passenger side. If it is off your chain or belt depending on motor needs to be changed.

Gear on timing belt(Guide gear) seized

there is no "guide gear" I think you are talking about the water pump. replace the pump, belt, tensioner pulley and the crankshaft, camshaft oil seals. You may have bent valves. to ck for bent valves, take the valve cover off and ck the valve clearances, if you have any that are "way loose" you have bent valves. If you ck them and they are real close, just a little loose, adjust the valves while you have the cover off. GOOD LUCK. If you have no bent valves you are lucky.
