check your fuses as a start then check relays and then fuel pressure because the filter could have only 1000 miles on it and have problems with it and it could also be the coil pack died on it .
check your ignition fuse and relay fuse.also check your master fuses located on the fire wall they are the ones that run from your nattery to your maine master fuse.follow the battery cable the red one all the way to the fire wall and from there it gos to the starter you may have burned thoses fuses out remove the black fuse cover
Cars need three things to run: Spark Compression Fuel
All of these have to happen at the right time. If the engine is rotating normally during cranking, spray some starter fluid into the intake to see if the engine will run on the fluid. If not, then do a spark test. Spark testers are cheap and can be found at part stores. If the car has spark, then do a compression test. If compression is low on all cylinders then you probably need a timing belt. If compression is normal and you have spark, then you have a fuel issue and probably need a fuel pump. If you have no spark, check all of the fuses under the hood and inside the car.
check fuel pressure on fuel rail beside the intake. if pressure is low then your fuel pump or fuel filter needs replaced. or just as simple as a fuse check all fuses
Several months could be a tank of bad gas. When turning the ignition to on position the pump runs for 3 to 5 seconds to pressurize the system, next find the valve on fuel rail and press it, Shield with a rag while doing this. You should get fuel. Check the way it smells, bad gas has an awful smell that can make you hurl! Attach a fuel pressure tester, it should be around 50lbs. If it's bad empty the tank by pressing the needle and relieving the pressure. Next disconnect fuel line before the filter get a container to catch the gas. IN the engine conpartment disconnect the fuel pump relay and put a jumper wire to run the pump until tank is drained. Instal new filter and pump if needed and add a can of "Seafoam" to the tank with fresh gas. Run pump until there's fuel at the fuel rail then put relay back in. now we should have ignition and constant running. Hope this helped.
